A Memorable Day In The Sunshine
Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our 10th anniversary hosted by the National Trust at Corfe Castle, and the Corfe Castle Club nearby. We are grateful to them, and to Frank Roberts for getting them on board. Frank said,
“I am so pleased that the event last evening was such an enjoyable occasion.
To have a 10 year gathering was most definitely the right thing to do, and in the context of this busy world where we all have so much to get on with, it was fantastic that for a few moments, many of us joined together.
May I thank both Tom, and our guide Colin, from the National Trust, who really did make the event rather special. So many of the group that visited the Castle remarked on how little they knew about our lovely iconic ruin!
I will also thank Brian, the Steward of Corfe Club for his hospitality. I did want to provide some sort of nibbles, but without going over the top. There was a good spread, which seemed to go down well.
I did wonder whether we missed a trick by not inviting lots of stakeholders or local politicians, but I hope you agree that the tone that we managed to achieve was just about right. It was great to see Bridget, Harold, Teresa, and many others. I also hope we mentioned the other key players who could not be with us, especially Helen and Luke who had to offer their apologies at the last minute.
Please do pat yourselves on the back, and also relay my thanks, on behalf of the LFP Core Team, to all of your helpers.”
Well done everyone. Purbeck is the more beautiful because of you.
