Love Langton Litter Pick – Can You Help?

Love Langton - this is how we get those dog poo bags that are thrown into trees! Great British Spring Clean 2019.

The Love Langton Litter Pick is back to do its twice yearly deep clean. Later this year, we reach our tenth anniversary. A very big thank you to everyone who has given up their time to cheerfully get grubby grafting to keep our parish clean over this time – you really have made a great
difference including raising awareness of why keeping our environment litter-free is important. If you can spare some time at just ONE of these spring, sessions, that would be super-helpful – many hands make light work, etc. Some routes will be shorter than others so if you can only spare an hour or two that’s fine: well do our best to find you a shorter section to litter pick. A full three hour enables us to get out along footpaths across the parish. Sessions, starting from the National Trust’s Spyway Car Park, are:

Mon, 4 April 8.45am for 9am – 12 noon approx.
Thurs, 7 April 8.45am for 9am – 12 noon approx.
Sat, 9 April 8.45am for 9am – 12 noon approx. (inc. Dancing Ledge)

If you need to come by car, parking is free to volunteers while we litter pick; we’ll provide you with a note to put in your car. There’ll be a short safety briefing before we head off to litter pick. We will be supported by the National Trust’s South Purbeck ranger team. Please wear sturdy boots, bring your own gardening gloves and dress for the weather. Children over 8 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their safety at all times. If you can pre-register (vía lovelangton@gmail.com or phone 01929 421753) so we can be prepared, that would be appreciated, but it’s OK to turn up on the morning too. Hope you can help!
