A big thank you to Andrew, Graham, Jane, John, and Sue for manning our stand at the Love Swanage Environment Day event at All Saints church on Saturday 12th October, and a special thank you to Lee who joined the events team for the first time.
In the “Fag Butt Challenge”, where people are asked to guess the number of butts we’ve collected in a jar, the winner, who guessed 543, declined to accept a prize. So, the prize was given to the second best guesser who guessed 524. The actual number was 535, and the winner is – The Vicar, Andrew Corke. Well done Andrew.
We also asked visitors to the stand to choose their favourite Bin Your Butt poster from the seven that we’ve posted around town to encourage people to “keep them off the streets and out of the sea”. The winning poster is shown below:
