Good morning,
I regret that the Landers meeting today is cancelled.
Unfortunately a last minute stand-in has pulled out from a work commitment I have in Wool today, and earlier in the week I was unable to find someone else to lead the “Thu session” today – I sincerely regret this last minute notification.
Our next commitments are forecast for Thu 19th May (1400hrs) and then also on Saturday 28th May (0915hrs). Unfortunately I am away on the Sat 28th, so again, I need to find someone to take the lead.
We have been invited to support another Mechanical Road Sweep in Swanage on Thu 26th, in anticipation of the Jubilee event – I hope we can go some way to support this STC effort.
AN APPEAL. We urgently need to recruit some new blood to join Swanage Landers, especially one or two people who are prepared to take the lead. Unfortunately I will have less time to support voluntary commitments in Swanage as from 18th June, so the survival of Swanage Landers will depend’s upon this issue.
Even 15 minutes a week to send out an update email would be a great help.
Also:
* Do you know anyone who would adopt roads in our town?
* Do you know anyone who can support the Thu Litter Picks?
* Do you know anyone who can support the Saturday Litter Picks?
* Do you know anyone who will help keep streets swept?
* Do you know anyone who will tackle some deeper cleans of littered areas (small projects) at the back of woods, along country paths, or in the corners of farmers fields etc?
Finally. If you have any suggestions of how we might change or improve our approach, please let me know.
Thank you
Kind regards,
Frank.
